Vermiculite Fire Board is a vermiculite board with specific insulating applications. Ceramic Fibre Board has a different structure and its own range. Similar colour or outline does not confirm identical lining intended for a given location.
Record the thickness, arrangement, and method of securing the panel. Measure the installation area, not just the damaged portion. In the absence of markings, confirm the material before cutting a replacement; changing the layer's properties may affect the operation of the entire device.
Check the effect of the damage
Examine the support, edges, and accessible areas behind the panel. The device manual should indicate the required condition of the lining. Do not universally treat every scratch or missing corner; the significance of the change depends on the function of the specific part.
Premium Fire Cement is used for the described minor indoor repairs. Its scope does not automatically confirm the adhesion of any insulation board. Choose the method according to the documented substrate and the approved repair solution of the device.
Preserve the geometry after replacement
If a new panel is needed, compare the format and required clearances before installation. Check the mounting points and the removal path of the equipment. Do not add thickness randomly to hide a deficiency at the expense of the space intended for other parts.
Keep a photo of the old element, the selected product data, and the installation description. After the required preparation, perform the inspection according to the device. The next assessment will refer to the specific lining, instead of starting from an unidentified surface covered with various remnants of repair compounds.
